Gov. Gregoire's Statement on FEMA-State Disaster Aid for Victims of January Floods

Gov. Chris Gregoire today issued the following statement on the signing of an agreement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to administer disaster assistance:

"This important agreement with FEMA allows us to provide disaster aid payments to victims affected by the January floods for personal property and other needs assistance grants.

"I want to thank FEMA Region X acting administrator, Dennis Hunsinger and his team for their hard work to get this funding to those Washingtonians that have been hurt by severe weather this winter.

"I urge anyone who has suffered damage in the January flooding disaster to register as soon as possible with FEMA by calling 1-800-621-FEMA or by registering online at www.disasterassistance.gov."
